Hello List- I am new to doing research in England and would appreciate your guidance in locating information on the STOKOE family. I found them listed in the 1841 England Census for Allendale, Northumberland. Please let me know how I can find family records for these STOKOE folks and their ancestors. I find that there were many with the same surname in Northumberland and would like to know how to sort them out. Below is an outline of our family.. our line is through great grandfather William who was born in Coal Clough in 1835 and his wife, Mary Ann. (They were last found in Middlesbrough, York in 1881.leaving soon after for USA.) I would like to eventually find burial places for Joseph and Sarah.
