Hi Tony, I have found the birth registration for your Thomas and he is not proving easy to find on the census. Perhaps mistranscribed? If however you buy the birth certificate you will find his parents names and also his mothers maiden name. He is registered in 2nd Qtr 1884 in Newcastle upon Tyne 10b, 57. Hi Tony - is there nothing on Thomas and Ediths' marriage certificate which should give you his father's name and occupation? If Thomas' age is on the certificate you can then go back to his birth certificate which again should have his father's name and his mother's name and address. Regards.
