    2. In the 1851 Census it say my GG Grandfather Mathew ROBSON was born in Birtly Northumberland. I know there is a Birtly in Co Durham. With the boundries changing over the years is this the same Birtly or are there two. George

Durham and 1 in Northumberland. The Birtley near Washington and also small hamlet (more a farm really near Newton Cap Bishop Auckland.
