Hi For some time I have known that my GGGG grandfather William Ramshaw died 1848 in Monkwearmouth due to cholera. Ive just obtained the burial record from Durham records online and it tells me the parish church was St Peters. Parish/Church: Monkwearmouth (St. Peter's) 6 Dec 1848 William Ramshaw, of Colliery, age: 55, Cholera I always assumed he would have been buried in some specific burial plot in Bishopwearmouth due to Cholera being the cause of death- indeed i have received thoughts on this from this group- thanks:) Does this mean maybe he is actually buried at St Peters? It would certainly be lovely to think so- its a spot where I go often. Or could it mean this was the parish but he was actually buried elsewhere? All thought welcome. carol
