Thought I would try again with this census problem I have - Bowness HARRISON bn 1814 in Temple Sowerby, Westmorland, appears on the 1841 census and the 1861 census of Newcastle on Tyne, in 1841 with his brother John and family and in 1861 with his own wife and family. I cannot locate him at all in 1851 in either Westmorland, Cumberland or Northumberland. Bowness died in Penrith, Cumberland in 1869 and his wife Elizabeth died in 1884 in Penrith. I have located her in the 1871 and 1881 census records. Can someone with better eyes check to see if I've simply missed Bowness - the 1841 and 1861 entries for him follow. Thank you for any help. 1841 Census - 4 Peel Street, Newcastle on Tyne HO 107/824/11 page 31 folio 19: John Harrison 32 Cabinet Maker not bn in County Phillis Harrison 35 " William Harrison 10 " Anthony Harrison 7 " Agnes Harrison 4 " Phillis Harrison 1month born in County Bownas Harrison 25 Cabinet Maker not born in County 1861 Census of All Saints (West), Newcastle Upon Tyne, 76 Pilgrim Street: Bownas Harrison, Head, Mar 45 Cabinet Maker Westmorland, Temple Sowerby Elizabeth Harrison, Wife, Mar 41 Northumberland, Allendale Town Mary A.
