There is an easy way to check an address. Go to _http://www.1901census.nationalarchives.gov.uk/_ (http://www.1901census.nationalarchives.gov.uk/) select "Address search - find out who lived in your house in 1901" and put in the name of the street only, do not put 'street', and then South Shields. You will get no results for "Stenry" as expected, as it is a most unlikely name. Regards Stan Mapstone
