The women had to be householders or the wives of householders or to have been to university. From 15 October 1918 to 1926 the electoral registers were compiled twice a year. The 1928 Equal Franchise Act gave the vote to all adults at the age of 21 The registers are not indexed by name but by street, so you would need to know where they were living. Regards Stan Mapstone
