My problem: I had an unidentified photograph from my mother's side of the family. I called the local college, talked to someone in the photography department explaining my problem. He asked me to describe my photograph, which was a tine type. The women had a type of broach that looked gold which the individual identified the picture as an amber type produced only in a ten year period. From this I was able to identify my great grandparents. This was in the USA.
