George Pringle. born 24/7/1876. County of Harraton. Father Robert Birbeck. Mother Elizabeth Birbeck formerly Pringle. (Why he is registered as George Pringle and not George Birbeck, I can’t imagine). I believe that this child died in 1879 aged 2. Birth certificate. George Pringle. Born 5/12/1876. Gateshead. Father James Pringle. Mother Ann Pringle formerly Armstrong. Could someone explain the connection between Newbrough Chapel and the parish of Warden? I have a baptism in 1812 where the family's abode is given as no [sic] Thorngrafton, Haltwhistle parish, and the baptism is at Newbrough Chaple [sic], Warden parish. I'd have thought the chapel would be in the parish of Newbrough. The details are from the transcription on the familyhistoryonline web site. Cheers, Ian
