    3. Peter, I was interested to see your contribution to this list and wonder if you have any link with Joseph E Hall born c 1880. Isabel Earnshaw was my Gt. Aunt who was born in 1889 and married Joseph E Hall in 1920 Ref 10b 204,she died and was buried in the Earnshaw Grave at Heaton & Byker Cemetery aged 58 on 7th March 1947. I have been cooperating with a distant cousin with this research and Joe Hall and one of the puzzles we have encountered is that we cannot find out what happened to her husband. We know they travelled the world and worked in Canada and went to Australia and little more is known about them. Joe died before Isabel and she returned to Monkseaton (or close to it) where my Gt. Grandmother lived with her unmarried siblings the last of the family died in the 1960's. I was 9 years of age at the time of her death and remember my Grandparents, my father and uncle struggling to travel to the funeral because of the severe winter conditions of 1947. I only know the Halls N.E. I am researching Joseph Hall ( born 1813 Monseaton) married to Jane ? (Born 1811 Alnwick), living at 2 Dock Street Monkwearmouth in 1871 (census 1871). Son George was living with them, he was a grocer. In 1873 George married Margaret Foster Allen ( Allen Foster?). In 1874 still living at 2 Dock Street, they had a son Verner, by this stage George was a Master Grocer. Joseph and Jane also had 6 other children, Ann,Elizabeth,James,John,Joseph and Thomas, some born in Willington. Filby is another connection. Is anyone researching this family?
