High downs is/was Hetton which is near Houghton le Spring. As far as SC no idea sorry. I cant think why Wheatley Hill folk would marry in Hartlepool either- plenty of churches in the area and a regigter office in Durham City. There was a direct train line to Hartlepool- a days outing perhaps? Carol
