It is very interesting reading and you get a real flavour of the family from what they spent as well as finding out what everyday things cost. However an entry has me wondering as in April 1927 Grandad paid 6s 6d for a History of Thornley. I'm presuming that this is a book and wondered if anyone knows anything about it???
