Hello Listers I am still anxiously seeking other Listers who have interests in the ROBERTSON and associated families as listed below. The Patriarch and Matriarch of this family were: Alexander ROBERTSON who married Mary SAMSON at Jarrow on 26/6/1791. (/Mary was the youngest and 12th in the issue of William SAMSON and Mary GLAYHOME who married at Alnwick on 26/12/1744)./ Their sons were: (1) William ROBERTSON (1792- 1861) who married Jane COMMINS on 21st July 1814. Their issue were 6 sons and 8 daughters. Of the sons: Alexander Robertson (1817- ?) married Eleanor MASON in S.S. on 18/1/1847 John Cummins Robertson (1829-1904) married Ann STEPHENSON at S.S. in 1860 Of the sons Thomas bap St Hildas 17 Jun 1827 , William bap 23/7/1828 - no further details The other sons would appear to have died early. Of the daughters: Jane married Robert FAIRLEY in 1843 Mary married Robert Watson BAINS on 3/2/1842 Annabelle marr. Robert TINGLE at Tynemouth in 1855 Emma Robertson marr. Richard PURVIS at Tynemouth in 1858 The other four died in infancy (2) Joseph ROBERTSON bap. St Hilda's Chapelry 15/9/1793 - no further record (3) Thomas ROBERTSON (1795-1872) married Elizabeth FRENCH at Bishopwearmouth on 7/8/1823 Their issue were 6 sons and 2 daughters Of the sons: Joseph Robertson married Mary MAWSON at Sunderland in 1857 Thomas Burn Robertson married Jane HUTCHINSON at S.S. qtr ended June7 Associated 1850 John French Robertson married Elizabeth HUTCHINSON S.S. on 2/12/1865 Alexander Bap. 22/6/1844 - no further record. James Robertson ( my g. grandfather) married (1) Jane LOVE dau Charles LOVE at St Hildas S.S. 6/6/1864 (2) Mary Louise SMITH S.S. 1879 William Samson Robertson married (1) Mary SMITH at Newcastle in 1862 (2) Charlotte Towns SoS. 22 Aug 1881 Of the daughters: Mary bap. St Hildas 29/6/1828 - no further record Elizabeth married George Haylock LAMBELL 1/12/1850 at Holy Trinity Church.
