    3. Hi All, Some help please!! Looks like the 1911 may have solved a long mystery for me! I had a good dates for my wifes g.fathers birth Thomas BUNTING 1898 Shildon  and his two brothers Robert b.1896 and George b.1901 both Shildon but have never been able to find them, there father or a mother! In 1911, we have this family.. Blackett BUNTING head 54  married 4yrs 12 born, 9 still living Sarah Ann HOLMES wife 43  married 4yrs 2 born,  2 still living Lily Mather HOLMES daughter 19 Robert HOLMES 15   son Thomas HOLMES 13 son                              George HOLMES 10 son Edna May BUNTING 4 daughter Gladys BUNTING 2 daughter       all the HOLMES have been pre-fixed with step by the enumerater, and are born in Shildon. In 1881 i see Blackett BUNTING living next door to his future wife, widow Ann SPIERS[SPEAR] nee COATES b.1840 DEVON many years his senior and already with a family, they marry in 1884 could these be part of the 12 children he fathered? I cant find any other marriage for him or any marriage for Sarah Ann HOLMES other than to Blackett BUNTING in 1907. If anyone has access to other census returns or information that may help i would be very, very gratefull! 3. Neil, following on from Gillian's message I see on FreeBMD that Jane, Robert and George also had the middle name of Bunting - so it looks as though there was a long relationship. Have you found his wife Ann(ie)'s death? I notice that an infant Annie Maria (0) died in the same qtr in 1884 as Blackett and Annie were married. Shotgun? 3. Hi Boris, Following on from John's message I realised I didn't read your email properly first time round. So here's a little more info. 1891 Blackett is in Shildon, a boarder, and listed as married. I haven't found Annie as yet on the 1891or a death for her on freebmd. 1871 Blackett is with his family in Shotton Colliery. 1861 they are in Helmington Row. What appears to be Blackett's birth registration is as follows:- Birth reg. June qtr.1853, ref. 10a. 195 Durham District Blackett Bounton. I also haven't found a marriage for Blackett's parents Robert and Jane as yet!! Let me know if you want any images. Best wishes, Gillian
