Hi Vivian, findmypast (& presumably ancestorsonboard) has 5 entries for Sharpton individuals leaving the UK between 1895 and 1957: Thomas Sharpton, born about 1865, sailed 1895, London to Gibraltar Unknown firstname female, unknown age, 1902, Liverpool to New York F Sharpton, male, 1887, 1914, Liverpool to Quebec Rissc [sic] Sharpton, female, 1925, 1957, Southampton to New York Rebecca Sharpton, 1950, 1957, Southampton to New York The last two were together. I also checked Scotlandspeople and there were no entries for surname Sharpton in either the OPRs or the Statutory Registers. You will see I have now written to 'Mr Sharpton' asking for further info - more out of curiosity than being able to help him further. However, it is interesting you have found some Sharptons in the shipping lists, as I had to conclude there were no Sharptons living in England. Best wishes.
