(these are baptism dates not birth dates, all from the old parish records) I really want the images and the text from the records so can someone email me off list if possible? Thank you very much for your help in breaking this old block wall. I really do not know where my MELROSE family came from but have suspected the borders in Scotland. My great grandfather was Hugh Hudson Melrose, a son of John MELROSE and Hannah HUNTLEY. John's father was the James MELROSE we are seeking more information about. They all lived at Felton from avt. 1760 until 1880. They are mentioned in the Newcastle Courant newspaper hosting flower shows in the 1840's. The inn or pub was known as the WIDDRINGTON ARMS . Another son of John & Hannah's, William Edward Melrose, married Isabella Huntley, and they lived at Amble in Northumberland. He was a butcher and a grocer. Thank you all for any help. Wendell H.
