My GGGF Robert Waddle died in December 1846 in the Tynemouth Union workhouse at the age of 28. I found in the Newcastle Courant a small death notice for this event. I wondered if anyone could clarify whether this was a common practice following the death of an inmate of the workhouse, given that, I imagine. it would have been quite expensive. Bill Waddle
