Date of death: 1 July 1841 Date of probate: 5 August 1843 will, 26 November 1839 (DPRI/1/1843/M8/1-2) registered copy of will, 26 November 1839 (DPRI/2/52 p280) The John MELROSE mentioned above is the father of my greatgrandfather, Hugh Hudson Melrose and the James MELROSE was one of his brothers.
