    1. [DUR-NBL] Samuel Robert Brown
    2. Tod Brown
    3. My great-grandfather was Samuel Robert Brown, who was born in Halvergate, Norfolk in 1838. He married my great-grandmother, Elizabeth Hannah Howard (b. 1845), in 1862 in Halvergate. They had, perhaps, as many as ten children and lived in Great Yarmouth from about 1868 to about 1890 when they and a few of the children moved north to the Newcastle area. It appears that Samuel died around 1895, but I don't know where. The family was living in Byker in the 1891 census. (My grandmother was remarried in 1898 to William Cook from Bedlington). I found a Samuel Brown who died in Tynemouth on 15 Jun 1895 but the informant on the d.c. is listed as his son, William J. Brown. I do not believe he had a son by that name, so I am stuck. Can someone tell me if there were obituaries published at that time that I could consult? Many thanks for the help. Tod Brown Warren, Maine, USA
