Hello List Need some help using local and old knowledge. We have just received the long looked for death cert of our g grandfather (and grandfather) Henry BERNHARDT - he died as John HT BERNHARDT on the Freebmd index! With his fourth, third bigamous, wife as informant. Well well well. It has taken over ten years to find this and came about almost by chance really. Never knew he used the name John! HT is Henry Thomas and I knew about both of those. He died June 1942. They lived at 10 Raby Street Sunderland UD and googlemaps and streetview say it is still there. He died at Highview Hylton Road Sunderland UD if I can read it correctly. Googlemaps shows the big hospital now named Sunderland Royal Hospital fronts Hylton road at one boundary. As he had heart problems and senility, it seems he would have quite likely been in care. I wonder if it is the same place? Please, can someone tell me about Highview in HyltonRd? Thanks.
