On my family tree I have the following family living at *156 Frank St,Benwell in 1911.* ** *John Alexander Robertson* /Head /Marr/age 37/ Iron Turner at Ordinance Works/ born in London [Bow] *Mary Robertson [ m.s. Hudspith]* Wife/ Marr/ age 33 /born in Newcastle on Tyne. *Hilda Robertson* / Dau/ single/ age 7/ born Benwell ,Newcastle on Tyne. *John Alexander Robertson*/ son/ single/ age 5/ born Benwell, Newcastle on Tyne. *Thomas Robertson* / son/ single/ age 1/ born Benwell, Newcastle on Tyne. There is another daughter, *Mary* who was born about 1913. >From my research I know that *Mary Hudspith Robertson* died in 1935. Her parents were *Joseph Hudspith and Mary Lawson.* ** *John Alexander Robertson*[Snr] was the son of *James Robertson and Jane Irvine* who married in Bow in 1863.[ James Robertson and Jane Irvine's roots were from Aberdeenshire] James Alexander Robertson married Mary Hudspith in Newcastle in 1902. John Alexander Robertson[Snr] died in *1960* at which time he lived at *142 Hugh Gardens Newcastle 4*.The informant was his son ,*John Alexander Robertson , who lived at 253 Helmsley Road Newcastle 4. * Further research led me to discover that *John Alexander Robertson continued to live at 253 Helmsley Rd until 1965.* ** *Hilda Robertson *did not marry and died in 1974 at which time she lived in *142 Hugh Gardens.* ** John Alexander Robertson[Snr] his wife Mary and daughter Hilda are all buried in *Elswick Cemetery* ** I have also discovered that neither John Alexander Robertson [Snr] or Hilda Robertson left a will. Would anyone subscribing to this list know anything about John Alexander Robertson [Jn], Thomas Robertson or Mary Robertson [Jn] I would be delighted to be put in touch with the descendants of these people as I could share with them the ancestry of John Alexander Robertson's [Snr] parents.
