    3. Hi W. The BTs have not been indexed so don't use the search function that comes up to access them. You need to click on the map, follow the links & then page through the images as you would a film. If you are not looking at images of handwritten records, you are not looking at the BTs. Don't forget Cornhill was a detached part of Co. Durham until the mid 1840s, so look under Northern Durham for Cornhill. 3. Hello List, Do someone have access to Parish Records in Walker, Newcastle Upon Tyne Please. I would love to know if all of Andrew Campbell and Elizabeth Fergus children were Christened. Their children were born in Walker from 1862 until 1880 as far as I know. Also could someone please check to see if their was a Obitury notice for Andrew Campbell who died on 22 February 1862 at 1618, Walker Road, Walker, Newcastle Upon Tyne, England. I would like to know what the details were please, I have not been able to find out any information on his eldest daughter Mary Copeland Campbell who was born in walker about 1885. And wondered if there was any refrence to her in his obituary. Thank you in advance for any help I might receive. Kind Regards Pamela J Groves

    1. [DUR-NBL] Help with MANNING
    2. The Orange Wasps
    3. Jane MANNING alleges in several census returns that she was born in either Berwick upon Tweed or "Tweedpool" in c.1812. A search of what is available on the LDS Family Search websites, and Scotland's People, does not elicit her baptism. A prize of my deep gratitude to anyone who can shed some light on her origins. This is research I am carrying out for her 3xGreat Grandson . She married William MALTMAN in December 1834 in Holy Trinity, Berwick. 3. Heather if you ask the Gateshead Registrars office they probably take card payments but only by letter or phone call, I doubt they will have online payment facilities. I have found that most of the District Registrars offices that I have contacted do have such card payment facilities these days, phone call or letter only. But it does make it easier for those of us outside the UK to get copy certs. without having to buy money orders etc. Would it not be worth a letter to them with your card details, though it would take longer for you to receive your copy, you would be getting a copy of the original entry and not a copy of a copy from the GRO. The contact details for the Gateshead Registrars office are :- The Register Office, Civic Centre, Regent Street, Gateshead, NE8 1HH. Tel: 0191 433 2207 or 0191 433 2208. But from Canada, either you pay for a money order [and it used to be 7 pounds plus two international reply coupons plus the service charge] or you make a long distance transatlantic phone call. I prefer the GRO from this end - although I have used both!!! I certainly find the local office is the best if you aren't sure of exactly what you want - like the possibility of two or more certificates for people of the same name.
