    3. Thanks to Jan for info. that Northumberland was about to go on line. I've found 5 households this morning but have drawn several blanks. Most notable is Emmeline Henderson born in Sunderland in 1855. I can find no trace of her even though I know she did not die until 1951. I've tried dropping an M, trying Emmy, dropping her dob but still drawing a blank. Can anyone suggest how I may find her? best wishes, Mary

    3. Thanks Stan for the information. I don't think much of their new website since they have taken some things away. (like the place names site!!) Think I will try and find an email address to write to them about it. 3. Hi Ian, Thanks for getting back to me- I understand what you are telling me now - must admit I was a bit confused before. :-) This message reached me the same time as your original message which makes things more clearer for me. (think the first message got lost for a while on route to me!) Hi Jan, Sorry, I didn't mean to imply the place names were available that way. Your message prompted me to check for something else in the cert. search & I tried to go in via the NEBMD page (links to various sites for Nbl, Durham, Gateshead etc registrations) and the Durham link was broken. Trying the Durham CC site directly showed up the other broken links. I found you can get to feedback to the web administrator from the Error 404 page not found page. There is an email address at the bottom that seems to work: [email protected] Ian markandjanboyes wrote: > Thanks again Ian - but it is the URL for the Durham CRO Durham place names I am really wanting. The message below was sent as an addendum to one I sent a few minutes beforehand about the URL changes on the Durham CC web site. At the time of writing this, the first message seems to have been held up somewhere, and so the second may not make much sense. Basically the changes have left some links to URLs that are no longer there, including one route to the Registrars Certificates. Another route does work as mentioned below. 3. It looks like they've changed a few urls and not updated all the links within their pages. You can get to "Registration - Copy Certificates" but then the links to see what has been indexed or to search the indexes both give Error 404 Page not found. Trying to go via the Contact Us page ro give feedback leads to a Logon dialog for something, possibly one of their servers. Wonderful!
