Dear Dunsmoor Researchers, I'd be interested in corresponding with anyone working on a David DINSMORE, b. 1750, Ireland, died 1779, Spartanburg Co., SC. He and wife Margaret came to Charleston, SC, on 10 Dec. 1767, aboard the ship "Earl of Donegal" piloted by Duncan FERGUSON. Received land on Tyger River in Craven, later Spartanburg, Co., SC. David and Margaret DINSMORE had children James (d. 1840, Morgan Co., AL); John (b. 15 Sept. 1774, Craven Co., SC; d. 16 Dec. 1858, Lawrence Co., AL; m. Phebe [WOODRUFF?]); and Mary Jane (b. 1773, Spartanburg Co., SC; d. 10 March 1853, Oakville, Lawrence Co., AL; m. Mark LINDSEY). In 1800, Margaret and her children moved to Wayne Co., KY, where Margaret appears to have died. Later, the children all moved to Morgan-Lawrence Co., AL, where they settled near a DINSMORE family with Donegal roots. Will appreciate any information on this DINSMORE family. Thanks, W.D. Lindsey
