Now that you've all checked out the LDS www.familysearch.org - in you could get in :) Check out the latest at Rootsweb http://resources.rootsweb.com/surnames/ You can search for any surname and get a 'cluster' page of search engines for that surname. It's brand new, so there may still be a few bugs in the works, but this looks really great! In fact, there are some bugs with this surname. When I set up this mail list and the GenConnect message boards, I chose the old spelling of the name - DUNSMOOR. Because so many surnames have variant spellings, it was decided to open mail lists, etc., to each variant of the name. It's a little confusing, but you'll see what I mean when you visit the above URL. I still don't know exactly how the variants will be handled, but I'll try to adopt the message boards for DENSMORE and DINSMORE, too. And the new search engine for GenConnect http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/indx/FamAssoc.html looks great, too. Just type in the surname you're researching, and it'll do a soundex search for it. There are still a few problems with the addresses for the DUNSMOOR boards, but they will be taken care of shortly, I'm sure. As always, I urge you to support Rootsweb - did you know that only 7% of the those who use RW actually offer financial support?
