Or, another possibility might be that there was a relationship prior to a group called "Loyalists" moving from the USA into the St John area. The reason for this idea; is not knowing the parents of my 1816 John Dunphy, which is my current 'brick wall.' Were they among the 'Loyalists' and did any of the family choose not to go to the wilderness of Canada leaves many possibilities. From 1816 on, I have the family well tracked. John Dunphy went on to found Dunphy Boat Company in 1855 in Eau Claire, Wisc. and the name is still known today. Prior to 1816 I don't have any info, yet.
