My great grandmother Mary was born in 1850 in or around Woodstock, Ontario Canada. Census record says Mary's Mother was born in Scotland as was Rachel Wilkie. I can't find a birth record to prove any connection because birth records started around 1867. Family letter also mentions that Mary's Mother once lived in Halifax, Nova Scotia. I know William and Rachel went from Nova Scotia, Cape Breton and then on to Ontario. Do you happen to know if one of William's children was a Mary? I'm also looking for any Dumphy/Dunphy's that may also have the surname Dalton in their family tree. Mary named my grandfather George Dalton Hanna.
