    1. [DUNN] Re: Ansonia CT Dunn
    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Dunn, Heaphy, Whalen, Murphy, Foley Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/hlT.2ACEB/1018.1 Message Board Post: <<From Assumption Church Records: Thomas J. b. 1901 to Thomas and B. Hafey (included above)>> Larry, I noticed your list of Dunns includes a child "Thomas B. b. 1901 to Thomas and B. Hafey" I have Bridgit Delia Heaphy (d. 10 September 1965) in my line, married to a Thomas Dunn (d. 4 October 1950). I'm sure this is the same person, Just a mis-spelling of the last name in the city record, or birth records. the rest of the family, all 5 sisters, one brother, and the parents used Heaphy. Young Joseph Heaphy is buried in the same family plot as are Delia's (nobody in the family knows where she picked up this nick name; she used it most of her life) parents, Patrick and Catherine Connors Heaphy, her sister Anna (my grandmother) Heaphy Whalen and her husband Patrick, and a number of Murphys, related by the marriage of another sister, Margaret, are all buried in the same family plot in Mount St. Peter's cemetery in Derby, CT which many years ago was known as St. Mary's. My grandfather Patrick Whalen's obituary lists one of the pallbearers as "Wm. Dunn", no doubt the son of Bridget and Thomas. I have the online family tree listed under "Foley" the other side of my family, in case you'd like to browse. If you want photos of the PARENTS of Bridget's stone, feel free to let me know. I don't know for certain, but would bet a fair wager that the Dunns are in the same cemetery too, which is a five minute drive for me, so if you are using photos, let me know and I'll see if they are there. Young Joseph was one of three buried in small children's graves, at the head or feet of adult graves in the same family plot, none of which are marked, but are recorded as to location.
