He was of Cherokee indian decent. His wife was named Mary Jane. They lived in southern Ill. They had at least one daughter named Florence who married my grand father, Harry Williams either in Alexander or Pulaski county Illinois during the 1800sMy great grandmother( Mary Jane) was a scotswoman.My mom used to talk about them often, but unfortunatly I was too young to remember much of what she said.
