I thought James' father was William ,but was trying to connect the correct William. You must be from the other line of Dunns. I did know that there were two lines. In fact there was a Dunn family just down the road from my grandparents' farm. My grandparents always said that they were another line. I'm sorry that I do not remember their names. They lived near Kahoka, Mo. in Clark Co. I hope this is of some use to you. The info you gave will be a great help. Thank you, again. Diane from Illinois

    3. Do any of you have a Van Horne in any of your Dunn papers? We have a Van Horne who married into the Dunn family(Margaret)stopped at Dunn's Island (around Clinton County, Pa) on the way from Phila-N.J. area to Ky. at the end of the 1700-'s or beginning of the 1800's. They are part of the James Dunn/Martha Long clan who came to America after 1752. Their ch. were Martha, Samuel, John, James, Nathaniel, Margaret, Alexander, Jane and Jean. The same names as all the other Dunns, it seems. Some of the men served in the rw from Northampton Pa, their father was a patriot, tho his name is never given. Just a few more Johns, James, Samuels, etc, to add to the mix. Thanks, Roslyn ----- Original Message -----
