Hi Kathy, curious about your Porter-Dunn connection. We have a Rachel Porter who m. John Dunn(his second marriage-don't know the first wife) after the Dunns migrated from Pa. They came from Ireland prior to the RW and lived in Pa most of the time before migrating to Ky. in the late 1700's. We believe Rachel is the daughter of Jame Porter-don't know if they came with the group from that area. They m. in 1811 in Henry Co. Ky. The Dunns lived in Northampton Pa and spent some time in Va. also before leaving for Ky. James Dunn was the father of the clan who migrated with his wife Martha Long before he war to Rockingham Va and Northampton Pa along wih sons Samuel, John, James Jr. and Nathaniel-younger children were Margaret, Alxander, Jane and Jean.
