They lived in Texas before that, Arkansas before that. My grandmother used to tell me that they were Cherokee Indian from the Dunn side. She said as children that if ever asked , "they were black dutch. I used to go through the Indian roles, could never find a clue. Most likely, mine never signed the roles, if anyone has any info, please write!
My grt grandmother was Cherokee. Her father and mother were from North Carolina. She was born in Mississippi.
