Three of their sons went to Petersburg Virginia in 1830s. Andrew Dunn 1822 - 1893 was Major ADC to General Longstreet, had a son named David b 1847 in Virgina, two daughters one became a nun. Andrew's brother Robert Dunn also came out to Petersburg abt 1849 owned land near Blandford Cemetery, the other brother David Dunn was buried at Blandford in 1845. Andrew, Robert and David Dunn had a brother named Thomas Dunn b1827 at Ardground but he died 1850. Andrew Dunn's son David R Dunn had a son named James A Dunn b abt 1888. You can be sure your Thomas Dunn b 1817 would be a cousin of Andrew, Robert and David whose other brother William Dunn was my G G grandfather and came to Australia abt 1841. The Dunn's held multiple farms in Lower Cumber. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
