The Uncle Samuel you mention could be the Samuel in my records. His date of birth was 01 march 1829 which could have made him 79 in 1911 depending on the date the cencus was taken. His brother (my ancestor) born 25 dec 1831 was a coastguard and he was born and died in Ringaskddy. I even found his headstone in the cemetery. Being employed by the Navy is strong pointer to a connection. Have you tried to locate Samuel's naval record on the UK National Archive? If your gransmother was a dunn and a niece then it would be interesting to see if her parents were called Thomas, Daniel or David who were the sibblings I have listed for my Samuel.
