Any of your Dunns that went to Wisconsin that you know of? Particularly, have you run across a William Arthur Dunn? I have been researching this line, with 2 other cousins, for about 15 years and while I have some facts, like they came into the country in 1850, (William was 15 years old then) - it seems like he dropped out of the air and landed in WI. I am having a VERY hard time getting the line back from before him. Peter married Mary (Margaret) DEMPSEY in Decatur, Macon CO. IL and settled in Dalton City, Moultrie CO. IL in 1858. Peter and Mary had eight (8) children including my gg grandmother Elizabeth, who married my ggrandfather, Thomas McGOWAN in Dalton City, IL. The DUNN and DEMPSEY Clans were from the northwest portion of County Laois, Ireland. Three members of this DUNN family married three members of the DEMPSEY family so it get s a little confusing at times. Dalton City was known as Little Ireland due to the large number of Irish families that settled in the area. I have info to share on this line and would like to connect with unknown cousins.
