He married three times. 1st marriage end because there was no children. Second time he married married Riva Abelsson. They had two children, my great-grandfather Simon Dunn and a girl who duied in infantcy. His wife later died aged 27. He was 45 and his bride was 19. The story goes that they had two sons and two daughters. One of the sons was Charles Dunn, who served and survied as a U.S. soldier during WW1. He visited the East London based branch of the family around 1918, when he would have been stationed over here. We have a phtograph of him in his military uniform. Can any one shed any light on the New York/ US connection...do the names Robert Dunn and Rose Dunn mean any thing to you? Do the surnames Poirier and Levy in the context of Puntas Arenas, Chile from 1903 to 1914 mean anything to you?
