I have DUNN and HERRING connections but mine were in GA>AL>MS. Frances (Fannie) Jane DUNN m. Alfred Jackson HERRING. Also of note is that Frances Jane DUNN's sister, Sarah Rebekkah DUNN married Alfred's brother, Fred HERRING. DUNN's migrated from NC, ca. early 1800s. I haven't traced my HERRINGs (also spelled HERRIN / HERRON) past GA, ca. 1830 at this time. Would be interesting if your DUNN / HERON connection was also connected to MARTIN, RO(D)GERS or YEWELL.
