    3. You have us Thomas DUNN descendants coming out of the woodwork! ; ) I also descend from Thomas DUNN and Nancy HACKNEY from NC who migrated through GA, AL, TN and MS (some went farther west but mine stayed in MS). Thomas and Nancy DUNN were in Carroll Co., MS, as Dick Jackson has mentioned. I just thought I'd mention, in case you weren't aware, that Carroll Co., MS, & Lafayette Co., MS are in the same region of MS. I have found past records of Thomas DUNN's children / grandchildren in Yalobusha Co., MS which shares a border with Lafayette Co., MS. I don't remember who those children were though since those records came to my attention when I was first starting my research and was only keeping information on my direct line. My direct line was George David DUNN, grandson of Thomas DUNN. My direct DUNN line intermarried with HERRING and ended up in Union Co., MS which is on the east side of Lafayette Co.. It is possible that they migrated through MS, going northeast through Yalobusha Co., Lafayette Co. and then east to Union Co.. Nadine Grubbs Smith Researching: Ball, Bunch, Burton, Calber / Calder, Daniel(s), Darling, Dunn, Fowler, Gibson, Grubbs, Hackney, Hartgrove, Henson, Herring, Hill, Key, Luke, Maples, Martin, Pannell, Parnell, Power(s), Ro(d)gers, Smith, Styles, Tippler, Thacker, Toliver, Yewell ----- Original Message ----- From: <mcofield@dixie-net.com> To: <DUNN-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Friday, March 15, 2002 8:45 AM Subject: [DUNN] Thomas Dunn > This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. > > Surnames: Dunn/Houston > Classification: Query > > Message Board URL: > > http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/hlT.2ACEB/2860 > > Message Board Post: > > I have been looking for info on Thomas Dunn who was in Lafayette Co MS (where Oxford is) in the 1840's and 1850's. I cannot connect him by marriage or blood to the family that I am working on....Houston. But there are Dunn/Houston connections in Mecklenberg NC and Union NC. Do you think there may be a connection here? > > > ==== DUNN Mailing List ==== > To unsubscribe from this mailing list, please send email to: > dunn-l-request@rootsweb.com (for list mail) or dunn-d-request@rootsweb (for digest mail) > with the body message of > UNSUBSCRIBE > >
