They came from Scotland in the late 1850s. They had two children when they came, John Brown Dunn and Jennie Carter Dunn. They settled in Rhode Island and had at least two more girls, Bena and Isabelle. There may be a second son James. Thomas served in the Civil War in the 5th Reg. Heavy Art. D. company under Capt Morgan. He was a member of the Smith Post #9 G.A.R. in R.I. He died 1903-1907? He was survied by his wife Alice and children. I have his obit, but it does not give the date of death or which cemetery he is buried in. Thomas Dunn worked in the Mills as a weaver. Any help would be appreciated as Thomas Dunn is my Great Great Grandfather. Bobbie
