Looks like the Dunn family was equal opportunity spouses. My heritage too includes a Dunn who married a Native American in the early 1800s. As yet I have been unable to find verifying documents but it is common knowledge in our family - some of my elderly aunts remember her clearly. William John Dunn married "Mary" Little Fawn (possibly Wolf). Little Fawn was either Otoe Sioux or Fox tribal association. William met her when he was horse trading with a Quaker family she lived with either near or on the edge of the reservation in southeast Nebraska (near the town of Rulo).
