The National Archives (NARA) has all of the enlistment records for north and south and all of the Northern Pension Records. The National Government did not authorize pensions for the CSA soldiers. Any pension they or their widows received was from the state of residence at the time of the application. In Georgia the State supplied a pension and some of the counties had a poor list which was used to support impovrished senior citizens. One of my Dunn uncles, Larkin was found on the Poor list for Floyd County GA, it also provided his death date as proof of when they ceased to pay him. Deborah Byrd
