I would never have known how 'common' the name Thomas Dunn is if it weren't for this list. Unfortunately, my g. g. g. grandfather Thomas Dunn has no connection to the famed Thomas Dunn everyone seems to be descended from. My guy was born in Kilnadeema/Killeenadeema, south of Loughrea, Co. Galway, Ireland circa 1780-90. A bunch of his kids came to the U.S. 1847-1857 time period. Lawrence settled in Phelps, New York; Alice and Michael settled north of Ohio, Illinois in Hamilton Twp., Lee County. Descendants are spread out all over. Good luck to everyone! Carole Dunn Vaughn
