If the posts to this list are correct 99% of all DUNN families are descended from this Thomas Dunn. I find this very questionable. This Dunn line has been known for a number of years. If you throw in an extra William and James when needed then I guess we all descend from the Thomas from England. I know not where this leaves all the Irish, Scots , Scotch Irish, Welsh and other Dunn derivatives. Can this Thomas be the elusive ADAM for all lines? It is very easy to build a chain if you start at both ends and add a link each time one is needed to fill a gap. This is not a very good way to trace a family line. James
Hullo-- my Dun certainly doesn't descend from this line. Maybe I'm in the 1%, but I don't think so. My Duns are Scottish, and wide-flung throughout Scotland. I've met more than a dozen other Dun researchers who are distantly related to one another, but have ZERO connection to your Thomas Dunn. But I'm sure he's a great guy, nonetheless.
