Hi, I am new to this list but not to searching. I am adopted and looking for my birth father Vernon Lee Dunn. I have looked in the SSDI, called the Federal Prison number, placed my name on several adoptee lists including the one in Nevada, gotten in touch with my uncles and a cousin on his side of the family. They don't speak to each other much and haven't seen Vernon in at least 6-10 years now. I have called names in phone books through the US. One number may have been correct at one time, the new owner said if he ever met this guy he would hurt him because he owed everyone money. Too bad I didn't keep that #! If anyone would like some more information on his family, please feel free to ask and I will tell you what little I know. I am trying to locate him through the SS office (they are supposed to forward a letter to him) and see if he responds that way. Mel, You need to give us what info you have as far as names, dates, places. None of us may know Vernon, but perhaps with more info from you we may be able to help you know some of your families past. Keep digging. It sounds as though you have made a great start by finding living relatives. Kelly Dunn

Hi Mel, Can you tell us anything about Vernon? What part of the country he is from or might be in? About how old he is/might be? Names of family members?
