A John Dunn was granted 500 acres in Annapolis Township in 1765. He had a family of four males and three females in 1768 and by 1774 had a family of ten. Two of who were born in Nova Scotia. Henry Dunn had a family of three in 1768 and was possible the elder son of John. A John Dunn. possible a son of John the Planter, was one of the first grantees in Wilmot township, owning Lot number 16. It spread from the Annapolis River to the foot of the North Mountain. He was a Wilmot Township tax payer in 1792 and died before 1838, as his wife , Mary was listed as a widow on the census of that year. Mary Dunn joined the Baptist Church here before 1829 and was dismissed to Wilmot Mountain in 1835. John and Mary had at least two sons: Henry Dunn, born 1792 and Charles Dunn, born 1795. Most of the Dunn family members have returned to various places within Massachusetts. Of all the members of this particular Dunn family, there is now only one member left in Nova Scotia. I have been chasing other members and they are disappearing as well. I cannot connect, John the Planter with any Massachusetts Dunns! Regards Mr. David L. Hue
