Her name was Edna G. Dunn, in the 1900 census, she was listed as living with a grandmother in Mississippi. She was a toddler, perhaps two or three years old. I don't know where in Mississippi. By the 1920 census, she was already married and the mother of one daughter and expecting another. My mother was born on 18 May 1920. Her name was Millie I. Miller, her father was Jess I.Miller, he was born in TX. They were in Hamlin, Jones Co. TX at that date. I don't know when or how they met, or when or where they were married. My mother's sister was Edna Marguerite Miller. I haven't been able to get access to the 1910 census, at which time she must have only been 12 or 13 years old. Any info would be SO appreciated. One hint about her possible ancestry: My mothertold me she had green eyes, and very dark hair, and when she was angry, she cursed in French! Possibly Cajun or Creole? Also, my mother told me that she found a picture of a Native American couple in a trunk, and asked her mother who they were. Edna screamed at her in French, and boxed her ears! Crying, she asked her father who they were. He chuckled and said "Those are your grandparents, honey!" So, given the speaking French, and being born in Mississippi, that's why I thought she could be Creole or Cajun. Her green eyes skipped me, but my daughter and granddaughter have them. But, the rest of all my lines are traced back into the 1600's, yet I know more about my Maternal Grandfather than I do about my maternal grandmother. Edna G. Dunn/Dunne?
