My father is Orville C. Winfrey, brother of Ruby Winfrey. His parents were John Raud Winfrey and Hester Roland Winfrey. Hester Roland was Native American Cherokee from Cherokee, North Carolina. My brother, Glen, has researched our Native American heritage, and is a card-carrying member of the Cherokee nation. I will see if I can find out more information from him.
