I would like to compare notes with others interested in this family. Do you know of any Native American lineage of this family? Martha's son, Pinkney Hanson is listed as being of Mississippi Choctaw descent when his daugter Lola Mae Hanson- Coppedge applied to the Dawes roll. It was not accepted - probably because of lack of proof... but family stories say that we have an Indian background - and her photos seem to support it.
