List Members: As a follow-up to my previous posting today, I have this: I looked up the three witnesses to the Affidavit listed in the Virginia Soldiers of 1776, Andrew Beirne, John H. Vawter and Henry Erskine. Andrew Beirne b. in Roscommom, Ireland settled in Monroe Co., WV. Source- Oren Morton's History of Monroe Co., WV. The had a son Andrew Beirne Jr. John H. Vawter- Greenbriar, VA Henry Erskine, b. 1787 Greenbriar, m. 10 May 1810, Monroe Co., (W)V. John Dunn was also listed as a witness. This would be John Dunn of Monroe Co., who married the sister of Christian Peters. I would appreciate any comments positive or negative and any input.
