My grandfather, John Edward Dunn, was from Dundalk, Ireland. His parents were John Patrick Dunn and Mary Smith, each born in about 1800. Supposedly, John Patrick migrated to Liverpool, England after his wife died in childbirth giving birth to my grandfather who was born in 1827. My mother was Kyde Minerva Dunn, born in 1902, the last of 14 children. How far back have you been able to go with your ancestry? By the way, parish records indicate that John Patrick Dunn spelled his last name DUNNE. I live in San Angelo, Texas, but was raised in Norfolk and Arlington, Virginia. Let me know if I can help.
